August 2011 Full-Length West Coast Tour: Annie Lynch and Michaela Anne
In August of 2011, Brooklyn-Based Songwriters, Annie Lynch and Michaela Anne head west for their first respective full-length west coast tour. Traveling from Seattle to LA, their sets will include solo performances as well as first-time collaborations.Â
Annie Lynch:
After four years and two releases with Annie and The Beekeepers, an internationally-recognized Americana outfit established in Boston, Annie Lynch embarks on her first, highly-anticipated solo tour, performing new material as well as more intimate interpretations of older original favorites. Annie’s songwriting and musicianship have received critical acclaim from such distinguished publications as Paste Magazine and the Boston Globe amongst others as well as in independent radio across the nation. She has had the honor of sharing bills with Josh Ritter, Justin Townes Earle, The Punch Brothers, Dr Dog's Scott McMicken, Joe Pug, Surprise Me Mr Davis, and The Low Anthem, as well as performing at notable festivals such as SXSW, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion, Boston Folk Festival, and the UK’s End of the Road.
"Annie Lynch shows off her remarkable vocal prowess on a debut album featuring lyrics that dance gently over sweet guitar picking. Lynch creates symphonic, slow- burning tunes that strike a lovely balance between heavy emotion and light, sparse sound." - Paste Magazine
Michaela Anne:
Upon the release of her debut full-length album, To Know Where, Michaela Anne takes to the west in celebration of the compilation of original songs inspired by her upbringing as a nomadic child of the U.S. Military. To Know Where, recorded by Jesse Lauter (The Low Anthem, Elvis Perkins), Diko Shoturma and Scott Kettner, was self-released on April 5th, 2011. The album features accomplished New York-based musicians with an exemplary guitar and vocal performance by Bluegrass guitar maven Michael Daves (Steve Martin, Chris Thile, Rosanne Cash) on Taken Away and harmony vocals by Willie Nelson’s Farm Aid regular Jesse Lenat on the title track To Know Where to name a few.  To Know Where has already been garnering positive attention with recognition from Telluride Bluegrass Festival's 2011 Troubadour Contest as an honorable mention for songwriting and gaining traction in the Americana radio format.  The Record describes it as "Nine songs with uncommon clarity, vision and execution for someone just beginning her career....This is an album that never overstays it's welcome" and Common Folk Music describes the collection as "soul-searching songs that have a way of touching the spirit....emotional and angelic vocal delivery".

Kickstart Us to the UK & A New Song...
Hi, hello!
Being the completely independent band that we are, we have very little funding for the trip to the UK for the END OF THE ROAD FESTIVAL...so we are asking for the help of friends and fans to get us there with ANY donation amount you can spare. We are offering "incentives" for ALL donation levels as a way of saying "thankyouverymuch!" Please check out our KickStarter fundraiser profile and consider backing us on this project and/or passing it along to any music-enthusiasts you know who could be willing to lend a helping hand. Any little bit will make so much of a difference!
As a way to entice you to check out the Kickstarter page, we have posted a BRAND NEW video of us performing a BRAND NEW song called "Come On."Â It was filmed in-blizzard in Prospect Park this past February by our friends at VVusic.
Hoping that all of you are doing well, and that we will see many of you soon!
Many Thanks,
Annie
P.S.: For all you NYC and Brooklyn folks, don't forget we have big shows this week! FREE gig in Bryant Park tomorrow at 6PM and the BIG ONE with The Woes on Saturday at the beautiful 92Y Tribeca.
